Admission from High School

Start Here at the University of Alberta

Programs & Requirements

The University of Alberta offers over 200 undergraduate program options, most of which offer direct entry from high school. However, some undergraduate programs (“non-direct-entry” programs) require you to complete one or more years of university-level studies before you can be admitted.

Each program has specific admission requirements that must be met, including academic subjects and entrance averages. Visit Programs and Requirements to learn more about our programs, including admission requirements specific to your province. You can take time to browse the opportunities that the university has to offer or go straight to a specific program you are looking for.
